| Compromising By: J.T. Clegg Galations 5:1 (The Message) 1 Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. Last time I wrote a Bible Study on mastering sin. Why because it is for freedom that we have been set free. It says in this verse we are to take a stand and not give in to the sin that has had in bondage. In other words the sin we can’t yet conquer. Paul goes on later in verse 7, You were running superbly! Who cut in on you, deflecting you from the true course of obedience? I look at my life and the times I do good and don’t fall into lust after girls I am not tempted with any other lust issues. That one little compromise to check out a girl in the mall or maybe for the recovering attic, smoking the cigarette puts them back into slavery to that buzz. Basically what ever is your strength instead of God. Get rid of it so you can work on mastering it. God help us to keep on the mark. Keep running the race but to keep our eyes on you instead of something harming us to be obedient. I pray you help us continue to live our day for you in Jesus name I pray amen. | | |
| Being at zjam still going on it has been awesome. Yesterday was the best I had a kid on there and he was going through stuff I was before I came to Christ. I explained to him how God just wanted to help him out and how he wanted to free him from bondage. After talking with him for about an hour on teenhopeline.com He came to know Christ as his personal savior his words were Holy crap. He said I feel free I feel God there. Tears were running down my face just because I had been praying to God to remind me how it felt when God set me free. He showed me through this caller and I can truly say I will never be the same again. I loved how He could just tell that 2 cor. 5:17 was true. It says "If any man be in Christ he is a new creation the old is gone and the new has come." Well I hope to update this a little more regularly with my buisy schedule it is hard. | Life at the z is going good we bout to go to a Bryan college game tommorow wich is going to be cool to watch jerome and Evan tear it up. God's been really working on me on letting him work through me to the callers and not me doing it. The song I have been listening to is by Todd Agnew My Jesus it just talks about who we are striving to be like because Jesus today wouldn't be allowed in the church because his feet might stain the carpet with a lot of the religous crap that goes on in some not all. God just been saying that it isn't about performance it's just who he is that we don't have to live according to Christ well thats all I gots ta say JT | | |
| Hey yall not a whole lot just been chillen at the z. God been doing great works got a huge outreach poppin up the 15th so any believers out there pray God moves through. My favorite verse at the time being romans 12:3 out of the message. 3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. It's not what we have to give God because it's nothing he doesn't allready have. When we finally understand that its bringing him glory we worry about not what others think. I could careless about being the politically Christian I am all about bringing him glory. My song I picked is off the new album of Jeremy Camp. It's all about whether or not its the cool thing taking up your cross and following him. | sup yall I just got to zjam. It has been a lot of fun so far. I got to meet joseph of seven day slumber. He was cool, and was real humble. He gave his testimony it was awesome. and a lot of people struglling with bad issues went forward or that just needed God.
